Learning Support Assistant (Part-Time)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join the Additional Needs (AN) team at a further education college in Wirral. These are part-time positions starting in September 2026, supporting learners with a range of additional needs to achieve their full potential.
You will play a key role in providing in-class support, promoting independence, and helping create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs
- Assist lecturers in delivering differentiated learning activities
- Support students with EHCPs, SEND needs, or barriers to learning
- Help students develop independence, confidence, and study skills
- Contribute to monitoring student progress and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records in line with college procedures
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with young people or adults with additional needs (desirable)
- Is patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Holds (or is willing to work towards) a relevant support or education qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning)
- Demonstrates a proactive and flexible approach
